Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 June 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Crime Codex. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the service you confirm that you accept these terms and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be of the age of digital consent in your country of residence to use the service. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

Licence to play

Purchasing a case grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and play that case for your own entertainment. You may not resell, redistribute or publicly perform the content without authorisation.

Payments and billing

Prices are shown at checkout and are processed by our payment provider. Subscriptions, where offered, renew automatically until cancelled, and you authorise recurring charges for the applicable period.

Refunds and withdrawal

Where you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, which you expressly agree is waived once delivery of the digital case begins, to the extent permitted by law. Refund requests are handled per applicable consumer law.

Intellectual property

All content, including cases, narratives, artwork, audio and software, is owned by the operator or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to extract solutions through unauthorised means, manipulating leaderboards, posting unlawful content in community features, or interfering with the operation of the service.

Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms or applicable law. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and disputes are subject to the courts of the United States, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
